Exhibition
Discover during the whole weekend an exhibition of embroidery and poetry at Poetik Bazar. The embroideries were created by the women of the group Les Mains Créatrices, based at the EYAD non-profit organization. The texts are excerpts from the Turkish poets invited to Poetik Bazar, which highlights Turkey this year.
Eyad asbl - Maison de la Turquie - is a socio-cultural association open to people of all origins, working towards individual and collective emancipation in a spirit of mutual understanding and respect.
Eyad is developing TRICOT Quartier, an urban intervention and know-how enhancement project that creates links between women around the art of knitting and handicrafts. This is the context in which Les Mains Créatrices created the embroideries on display.
At the Poetik Bazar - which puts Turkish poetry in the spotlight for this fourth edition - the portraits embroidered by these creators are associated with texts by our Turkish guests in the program. The texts are in Turkish, French, Dutch, German and English.
So, find embroideries by Gönül Yentur, Sati, Ülkü Akdeniz, Feraye Erdoğan, Sibel, and many other designers, alongside texts by Karin Karakaşlı, Ceren Uzuner, Gonca Özmen, Lütfiye Güzel, Canan Marasligil, Mustafa Kör, and more.
