Presentations

The poet, translator and photographer, Margot Delaet, together with the two European poets Shannon Sullivan and Gonca Özmen, explores the area around the Halles de Schaerbeek. Margot shares remarkable facts about the neighborhood. The poets read fitting poems in their mother tongues at various special spots. With this poetic walk, you will see the city through different eyes! The audience can follow along with the poems in a free trilingual booklet.

Gonca Özmen

Gonca Özmen (1982, Turkey) is a renowned Turkish poet known for her playful and critical poems on love and human relationships. Noticed young in Varlık, she published works like Kuytumda and Belki Sessiz, gaining international recognition.

Shannon Sullivan

Shannon Sullivan is known for her percussive, interdisciplinary poetic performances. Nominated for Versopolis in 2022, her recent project THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN F.&.F., with Ali Hasan and Simon Schmidt, will be released as an album in spring 2024.

Margot Delaet

Margot Delaet is a poet, translator and photographer. Her work has been published in Op Ruwe Planken, Poëziekrant, Deus Ex Machina, DW B and Minutes of the Invisible. She is a core member of the Climate Poets, and regularly gives poetry workshops for TRILL.
