Presentations

Musicians with roots from six different countries put a classic from their language area into Dutch music and interpreted a canonical Dutch-language poem in their own language. After the premiere in Ghent, musicians with roots from Ghana, Iran, Morocco, Nepal, Palestine, and Turkey received a standing ovation. The result is a harmonious cross-pollination between music and literature, between language and culture, where the international poetic tradition merges with the Dutch-language literary canon. The universal power of music and poetry opens doors and connects people. 'WOW! What incredibly beautiful, this,' poet and translator Annemarie Estor said. This multilingual concert will be presented for the first time in Brussels at Poetik Bazar.

Passe-partout is a project by De Centrale, KANTL and Poëziecentrum.
